Green Building

Open Square is the greenest location for your business due to our on-site renewable energy and our re-use of existing buildings. Open Square is currently a zero net energy use buiding, generating 500 kW of electricity through two hydroelectric generators. Open Square produces more energy than we use and we actually feed enough electricity back to the city's grid to power over 100 homes.

In additon, we look for the most sound and eco-friendly use of natural resources that Western Massachusetts has to offer for all of our construction and renovation projects at Open Square - office, studio, retail, residential, industrial - we strive to be as green and energy-efficient as possible.
